Look, this is deep in a series, so I want to keep the synopsis/recap as brief as possible BECAUSE being this deep in a series means the proverbial poo has hitteth the fan, and I spent a few long minutes staring at the ceiling after reading parts of this book.
If you’re an urban fantasy fan, and love a strong, dynamic female lead, Kat Palon is for you. If you like twisty turns and a layered story where the reveals deliciously unfold, The Immortal Sorceress is for you.
Walsh is crushing it with this series, giving just the right amount of detail and backstory in the previous entries to make this book LAND. She masterfully captures grief, both new and ancient, in a manner that any reader can connect with, and writes the intricacies of a Found Family with a deft, lovely hand.
One of the true joys of this series has been watching the frenemy-ship between Kat and Barrett evolve, and in this book … THIS BOOK. To say more would be spoiler central, so I won’t, other than please don’t sleep on Immortal Sorceress.
