Welcome to Character Witness, where we let our poor antagonized characters take center stage, and the authors have nothing to say.
Who are you?
Piper Pan from Neveraj
Tell us about your author (and include links to where we can find them):
Cassie Swindon is very interested in turning the tables to show stories with gender reversal from other perspectives. Of course, she finds the best place for brainstorming ends up being in the shower or while trying to fall asleep, which isn’t convenient in the least for taking notes. In her spare time, she collects bookmarks, stickers, washi tape, and cats.

What books are you in?
The Never Hour, a Fairy Tale Flip by Cassie Swindon
What are you doing on a Friday night?
Taking my wingsuit out for a flight over the jungle with my best friend, Tank, a fairy the size of my hand.
It’s Tuesday night, and your friends/allies/enemy-to-lover have dragged you out to your world’s version of a karaoke bar. What do you sing?
Oh I won’t be singing. I’ll be in the shadows, scanning the room of who might be carrying valuables that I can pick pocket.
How did you get your scar?
Don’t get me started on Epoch’s strong croc bite.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
Traveling with my dads. Though it would’ve been nice to settle down for more than a year at some point. Their cons get a bit repetitive.
If we were to ask your closest friends what your catchphrase is, what would they say?
Probably that they wish I had a catchphrase since my stories extend too long.
What was your best worst decision?
Meeting with that witch at Walk the Plank a few years ago.
Every main character has a ghost, something that haunts them. What is yours?
The past doesn’t matter. Neither does the future in fact. So nothing can haunt me when I live in the present moment.
Tell me about your guilty pleasure or sinful habit:
I might have gotten in trouble by the tree nymphs for carving my stories into my treehouse.

What is your chicken soup for the soul? It could be a food, a material item, an activity or endeavor, a comfort read, or a movie. Whatever it is, tell us about it:
Flying over the deep green canopies before a thunderstorm when I can inhale the scent of incoming rain.
If you have a formal education, what did you study, and how are you applying the knowledge daily? If you have a vocation or trade, what is it, and how did you come into it? burning house, what would it be?
There’s no purpose in studying for the future. High school drop out at your service.
If you could save one thing from your burning house, what would it be?
I’d never be so foolish to start a fire. But if anyone else did, I’d save my journals or maybe my pocket watch collection.
Name your irrational fear?
Enclosed dark spaces.
Anything you’d like your maker to know?
I don’t have to wear green EVERY scene, ya know.
